Diving Today

Hello Divers,
Today the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Dive team which is headquartered at Southern Skin Divers Supply got to do  some diving up on the Warrior river. Here are some photos from today and the BMW SUV that was recovered. The water was a balmy 54 degrees.

This past November, Tom Massie (host of The Outdoor Channel’s Gold Fever), came by The SCUBA School while filming a show about diving for Gold and Relics in Alabama. The show features my Dad, Steve Phillips, talking about the history that has been found and preserved by divers in Alabama. He also explains why the freedoms to find these artifacts should not be infringed upon.

The show airs again Saturday February 26 at 11:00 AM. The Outdoor Channel is on Dish Network channel 396 and on Direct TV, not sure which channel. Tune in to see part of the largest collection of War Between the States (the American Civil War) artifacts and relics in private hands in the US. For more info check here ==> Incredible Odds
