Our open water diver course begins with an orientation in the classroom and showroom with one of our experienced instructors. Confined water training will be in our on site 50′ foot long, 14′ deep heated indoor pool & includes:

Class Details
BASIC OPEN WATER
We have an option for starting your new Open Water Dive Course any day, Tuesdays through Saturdays during our regular business hours of 9am-6pm Tue-Fri and 9am-4pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays
ADVANCED OPEN WATER
After completion of Open Water Certification, most students start working towards their Advanced Openwater Certification. Once a student completes 4 Specialties and has 25 dives, an Advanced Openwater Certification is earned. We offer these Courses with Certification dives often. Some of the popular ones are Nitrox, Wreck, Boat, Deep, Rescue, Solo and Gulf Coast Spearfishing. These are all through Scuba Diving International
STRESS & RESCUE
12 hour course with one day in class training in O2 admin, CPR and First Aid, plus afternoon rescue in pool scenarios. Second day at local quarry completing the Rescue Dives
ENRICHED AIR NITROX COURSE
This is commonly the first Specialty taken after Open Water. Topics covered will be assembly and use of the oxygen analyzers, how to analyze Nitrox cylinders, planning Nitrox dives, using Nitrox computers, Nitrox regulators and dive tables. Once Nitrox Certification is earned, divers usually take Wreck, Boat and Deep with certification dive options in Panama City or Pensacola or Orange Beach.
Gulf Coast Spearfishing
The objective of this course is to enhance the experience for divers interested in learning to spear fish safely along the upper Gulf Coast of the United States. Course taught by Spearfishing Champion and Commercial Spearfisher, Forrest Phillips. Training is at Southern Skin Divers Supply followed by certification dives in Panama City.
A'La Carte SCUBA Course
For those that do not purchase the complete life support package from SSDS. Complete audio visual presentations - Unlimited use of pool & air while a student - Use of SCUBA gear for pool sessions (personal gear must be purchased from SSDS, this includes mask, snorkel, fins, booties, & weight system)
Complete Set of Textbooks
Open water dive manual - Diver skills records - Student workbook - SSDS T-shirt and car tag or patch - Zippered deluxe logbook. Required for each student (no sharing)

Checkout dives in Florida
Includes 2 days of diving with 5 instructor-supervised dives in all - Worldwide recognized SCUBA certification card.
$50 penalty fee if cancelled or re-schedule.
